As the main component for automotive lighting at night, the headlight plays a keyrole for safe driving at night. Study on the headlight gradually focused on the reflectingsurface with the appearance of car, avoiding fixed design with light microscopicappearance and aesthetic impact of automobile shape. But the headlamp reflector nowhave a free surface reflector and using the block method that finite element method todesign. On the one hand, the method is inevitable in the sheet body which is connectedappear step phenomenon and it can not up to the requirenments of smooth transition. Onthe other hand, the lack of convergence in the final to illuminate the border region. Aimingat these defects we must study a new method that can make the reflection surface smoothand solve the convergence problem. The use of the software greatly improve the reflectordesign efficiency. In this paper, according to the light reflection law knowledge and photometry a lightsource and the corresponding region of light flux discretization method is put forward.Make the luminous flux of the source as equal flux discretization. Also for the lightingarea and establish the establishment of the corresponding relationship between them.Make an error analysis and treatment for the method used. Writing the correspondingprogram in Matlab. According to making the calculation according to the procedure of thereflection point clouds. And take the results into UG software to fit smooth reflectingsurface model. Finally, take the simulation analysis of the superiority of the proposedmethod in LightTools. The research method of this paper is the research and design of automobile headlightlamp reflector with a new train of thought. Also have the certain theory significance anduse value.
