Research On Power Quality Problems Of Beijing Grid And Its Improvement Method

As an international city, Beijing must be excellent on every ways including energy, traffic, communications and especially power quality. On the other hand, with the development of the city and the basic demand of power supply has been meet, more and more power customers are strict at power quality. For example, sag and interruption of voltage will affect even destroy their equipments. So the power quality of Beijing power grid becomes an important problem. Many big cities of developed countries, including France, America, Japan and Germany, have made a lot of work about evaluation and improvement of power quality, and they are studying power quality as a systemic project and developing for many years. Beijing sets about the research of it, but it is still in the beginning, further research and study are needed. According to the real level of Beijing power grid today, this paper will discuss how to improve the power quality of Beijing power grid and make some suggestions. This paper falls into several parts:1. It relates the important significance to improve the power quality of Beijing power grid.2. It provides the analysis on traditional definition of power quality in our country's power grid of power supply and utilization, and the analysis on the function of modern power quality.3. According to the large quantity of actual data of Beijing power grid it analyzes power quality factors and evaluates the factual level of capital grid at present. Comparing with the target of power network for 2008 Olympic Games, we can know how much work we must do in the future to improve power quality.4. It briefly discusses the features of Beijing power grid and demands of some power customers, from which we can know at present what the customer have done to improve the power quality. According to the basic information, we take example by advantaged technology and perfect management system from foreign counties. In the end, it puts forth some reasonable suggestions to improve Beijing's power quality.
