The Humanized Space Design Of Local Urban Plaza Of Northwest China

The Northwest Region is a historic region in China. It's well-known for historic culture. But it is the inland area. Both the climate and the traffic are very badly. And the speed of social development is slowly. With the execution of strategy of Western Exploitation, both the development of economy and the performances of urbanizations of Northwest Region have become faster. But the public spaces of cities are worsen than that of developed region. Urban plaza is the opening spaces of city. And the plaza must be hight-quantity and multifunctional spacial appearance. The city person's outdoor event require the urban plaza urgently. A great deal of urban plazas have been buildding for improve civic living environment in Northwest city. But the local decisionmaking mechanism of city development is not satisfactory. The urban plaza is some local government official's achievement. However, the globalization of technology pound at the district culture. And the local official's one-side comprehension, the plaza's local identity fade away. Therefore, an essential question has been raised as to how to preserve and develop local city identity in the process of construction.The degree's dissertation discusses the humanize space of local urban plaza by using the concept and methodology of environmental psychology, landscape ecology and urban public space design. Directed by the Sciences of Human Settlements and the Standpoint of Sustainable Development. The regional culture is the important method of keeping city identity.The thesis makes the theory system of city identity connection with practice of plaza design of Yin Chuan city. The thesis then studies on how to construct humanize space and how to keep city identity with local culture. Furthermore, the targat of this thesis is to give us some advices to the constrution of urban plaza.
