The Evaluation System On Commercial Street

After the examination of the current research on commercial street, the author find that it is narrowly condensed within the field such as city characteristic space, architectural facade etc while some other elements such as the region of social space, transportation system are weak. This article takes a new point of view that the commercial street is a sub-system of the city eco-system which is similar to natural eco-system. The commercial street system has its sub-system too. This article scrutinized the relationships between these sub-systems. The author also erected the aim system and evaluation system of commercial street design, which is finally illustrated by 3 site-investigations: Huaihelu tramp street Hefei, Chenhuangmiao tramp street Hefei, Zhongshanlu tramp street.
