From explaining the concept of entrance space of college campus, this article reviews the history of college entrance space in China and foreign. On the basis of citing the symbiosis theory and the thought of city design, the essay opens out "fusion and symbiosis" to the development of entrance space of college campus by analyzing the constitution elements, the effect elements and the space image arranging of college entrance. Applying the theories of environment-behavior, psychology and other architecture, the author demonstrates the implication of fusion and symbiosis of entrance space from the relationship of entrance space and nature, and society, and people. The author provides some basic principles, design views and design methods about entrance space of college campus. Finally, the author demonstrates further the design idea of entrance space with some local and foreign buildings and the author's design practices.The article focuses more on the transitional and intersectional edge-area, emphasizing the development of the place of campus and city as a whole, avoiding the usual phenomena to researching the place separately. It intends to analyze the campus and city as a whole, to development the advantage of the campus city as a whole, and deal with the contradictions harmoniously, so that the area can motion well to exert the potential.
