The calculation of the temperature field of large synchronous generator is the main means analyzing the heat of generator. On the basis of analyzing the temperature field of large capacity generator, the three dimensional temperature field of the hottest region in the stator of large synchronous generator is calculated by the equivalent thermal network method. It also analyses the relevant heat parameters of the temperature field of the generator, considers the radial heat dissipation course, and compare the calculating and testing values of the prototype. The result indicates that the method and the procedure of the paper are correct. We analyze and calculate the stator temperature field when a stator coil waterway is partly stopped up in the water-hydrogen-hydrogen-cooled turbo-generator, draw some helpful conclusions.
