With the wind turbine becoming large, the problem in tower optimized is increasedly impotents . In order to reduce the cost and decrease the weight, tower is designed generally as a flexible one. It is necessary to introduce new method and technique. So, Based on the theory of intensity,structure dynamics and nonlinear finite element, this thesis respectively analyzed and researched key factors effecting the tower design, such as static intensity, modal, buckling and fatigue, to tower optimize design, and study their role in tower optimized design, give a method used to optimize the basic structural size of tower. According to this method, this thesis gets some results, and verified it by comparing with some type of tower's result.. In addition, in this thesis, nonlinear finite element method is firstly used to the tower contact analysis in our country. It expand the application range of finite element in the design of wind turbine.
