Research On The Lingguan Ancient-post-road Settlements Of Southwest Silk Road

The Ancient-post-road settlements of Southwest Silk Road must have unique characters as one of whole world settlements types, but researches haven't set much foot in the fields of the Ancient-post-road settlements no matter at home or abroad at present. The main reasons are the Ancient-post-road settlements lie in remote area of the Southwest of China, and have been eclipsed by famous Northern Silk Road and Maritime Silk Road. As a result many people haven't known the Ancient-post-road settlements.The opening of Southwest Silk Road and establishment of the Ancient-post-road have caused the formation of the Ancient-post-road settlements. Great changes have taken place in fields of economy, politics, culture of the Ancient-post-road settlements through development of every dynasty. Its characteristic is gradually getting distinct. However, the Ancient-post-road settlements are facing the severe crisis of missing characteristic by blind developments after Reform and Opening-up. It is necessary to carry researches on the Ancient-post-road settlements and unveil the influence on shape form of the Ancient-post-road settlements by the culture of post, foreign lands and native country, in order to protect those settlements and buildings which are declining gradually and save few culture heritage of settlements and buildings.This thesis will analyze the characteristics of four settlements, which lies between Yunnanyi village and Datian village of Lingguan Ancient-Post-Road. Combine Kevin lynch's method of analyzing urban image with point, line and surface concept of architecture molding theory when making a concrete analysis on surface, linear, point space of settlements, at the same time, summarize some questions such as the originating forms, types, factors of development of settlements Ancient-Post-Road so on.This thesis divides into four chapters altogether:Chapter one "Introduction ": First of all, explain the meaning of researches after explicating the current situations of the Ancient-Post-Road settlements, which are not good enough to be optimistic. Then, explain the current situation of domestic and international researches on this subject and propose the research range and content of this thesis at the same time. Finally propose the research method and frame of this thesis.Chapter two " The origination and development of Ancient-Post-Road settlements ": Firstly, introduce the background and history of the Ancient-Post-Road settlements and differentiate and analyze some relevant concepts of them. Then analyze origination forms and classify the Ancient-post-road settlements. Analyze development factors and specialty of the Ancient-post-road settlements finally.Chapter three " Case analysis of the Ancient-post-road settlements ": Firstly, describe the whole situations of the Lingguan Ancient-post-road settlements between Yunnanyi village and Datian village. Then analyze the space and typical buildings of four Ancient-post-road settlements, taking Yunnanyi village as the core.Chapter four " Conclusion ": retrospect the whole thesis and put forward some problems that remain to be studied, then put forward the hope of the settlements renewal.
