| City transportation is one of the most important functions in a city. With the process of urbanization and mobilization and the development of national auto mobilization, the cities in our country are facing increasingly serious traffic problems. The leading cause of the traffic congestion is the unbalanced conflict between roadway facilities supply and traffic demand. Reinforcing the construction of urban roadway system and renew the roadway system are the necessary step on the condition of weak urban infrastructure and more and more serious ' supply and demand' conflict.On the basis of learning about the present situation of our country's city transportation and analyzing the present problems existed in the roadway system of the cities in China, the paper puts forward a proposal of the renewal and reconstruction of roadway system, the essence of which is constructing roadway system fit for modem urban traffic vehicle moving characteristic. Combined with the interrelated relationship of city planning and traffic planning, the paper points out an effective measures of solving the city traffic problems: the city traffic planning of short-term closeness, medium-term roughness , and long-term existence. To actualize sustainable development of city roadway system, enhance the efficiency of city traffic and to advance the traffic modernization and urban renewal, the paper suggests, initiatives should be undertaken, the whole effect of road nets should be fully realized, and specialized planning software should be applied to the area planning and net planning of the typical cities. |
