Connected with the research and development of the first unit of hydraulic crawler trencher, the solution of overall design calculation, the calculation of traveling power, the matching of the power between traveling and cutting, the allocation of track rollers, the calculation of recoil spring of track roller frame have been found.It is the first time that the cutting force as an additional force which put into the calculation of interior resistance force of track group and the resistance force when climbing the slope; and in first time that a method of how to matching the power of cutting and traveling have been provided.By using this new method, the traditional problem of which that the working attachment needed to be support and driven at the same time, have been properly solved. When provide the load case in circular trench cutting, the additional side force need to be take into consideration.By using the tension-line calculation method, the interior tension stress can be calculated and, by using max press stress of chosen soil, the distance between track rollers can be found. These two new methods have been properly solved the problem of track link tension calculation and the calculation for the numbers of track rollers in track group.By using the parabola-calculation method to calculate the hitting point of the dropping material out of the discharging device, the best dropping point which should be fallen into the middle of the rubber belt. This can dramatically eliminate the offset of the running belt. The calculation methods of track roller group and the cutting force of working attachment, not only apply to the calculation of a hydraulic crawler trencher, but also apply to the calculation of different crawler vehicles, such hydraulic excavator.
