Study On Adaptive Theory And Method Of Organic Renewal Of Contemporary City

City renewal is a hot issue, which has drawn much attention and devotion of Chinese planners. Old city has been regarded as important role in society,culture and economy development by diversified aspects. Now our country has been into the intermediate accelerating development stage, which will promote the huge transformation of city economy and society structure , and even more it has inflected people's life style and value concept. Sichuan-Chongqing Region is a pivotal place for "Western Development", which has dense cities and plenty of population and the old cities will face many contradiction and problem in the accelerating urbanization.Before this article, city renewal theory is often applied to conservation area and historic city . However, the theory has not spread to the inner city areas which are numerous and not conserved. These areas only develop by the real estate exploitation and so lead to many problem of construction , for example of the demolishing of social structure and city culture character . Based on the Professor Wu Liangyong's instruction, the author want to catch the soul of the Organic Renewal Theory and apply it to more broad urbanization areas of old cities . With a scientific planning methodology , it is possible to solve the problem of population centralization and inner city decline .The author construct the thesis by three main parts:First part of it is from chapter two to chapter three which discuss the noumenon and history of old city renewal. This part is the theory base of the thesis.Chapter2: The author review the acquaintance process of organic character of city by human, and analysis the meanings which has close relationship with city organic renewal and the theory behind.Chapter3: This chapter the history, theory and construction practice of old city renewal about west developed country and China.The second part is from chapter four to chapter five which brings forward practice problem and analysis it, and then solve it.Chapter4: This part focuses on the practice problem of construction in old cities of Sichuan-Chongqing Region. There are much survey material and analysis about the practice condition.Chapter5: This chapter first analysis the shortage of the traditional organic renewal method and then addresses on the essential character of city. Based on the comprehe-nsion of the character of modem city, the author discuss the possibility of the way of "Organic Concentration" to solve the development problem. This is consistent with "Organic Renewal" by Sir Wu Liangyong. Plus it, the emphases is construction of a new systemic renewal stratagem, and enumerate two case of Chongqing Jiangbei old city and Yibin old city to support it.The third part is from chapter six to chapter seven which discuss how to put systemic renewal stratagem in to practice.Chapter6: The main angle of investigation is social culture. The author discusses three aspect of the idea, which is social structure renewal, city culture renewal and city life style renewal, and proves them by practical case.Chapter7: From substantial configuration angle, the study focus on city space configuration and integral situation, urban environment enhancement and infrastructure construction and renewal.
