Invention and application of the steam engine in the 18th century, had driven thepaces of Europe and even whole world industrial revolution. Industrial revolutionmakes the productivity of human society develop to a new level of the quality, then theurbanization tide rises. But while the urbanization expands rapidly, the conflictsbetween the function requires of the modern city and the space form of the traditionalcity are getting sharp day by day. These problems appear in the center area of cityparticularly. The city space melting three-dimensionally becomes the inexorable trend of citydevelopment then. Big cities begin building a large amount of skyscrapers and citythree-dimensional traffic system, but it can't still catch up with the pace ofurbanization requires. The urbanization problems continue getting worse and worse.People realize gradually, the melting three-dimensionally of city space is not onlyincluding the use of upper space of city. The underground space has another kind ofadvantage and potentialityon expanding the urban capacity. So it forms a new idea thatcity should be developed coordinating in the ground space, upper space andunderground space of city -- City space melts three-dimensionally and city function issynthesized. The thesis focuses on the combines and designs of the center district undergroundspace resources in city. Through using the successful experience of developedcountries in this respect for reference, we can find out how to combine effectively theUnderground space resources in city, especially in the center district of city consideringthe real conditions in China, cityspace melting three-dimensionally could be realized. Ipropose several designing principles, which is divided into several parts to research onthe combines of the underground space resources in the center district of city. The full thesis can be described into four parts roughly: The first part --The current situation and the feasibility discussion, that is to saychapter 2. It reviews the historical evolution of underground space development, proves the feasibility developing underground space in our city, analyses the currentsituation and points out the question that the underground space exists at present. The second part --Proposing principles on the combines of the underground spaceresources in the center district of city, that is to say chapter 3. It explains the debaterelation between "integrate" and "sustainable development", propose the design英文摘要thoughts on the combines of underground space resources in the centre district of city,Determine to combining principles and concrete measures. The third part -- Dividing the combining design principles into researches, that isto say the 4th, 5th, 6th chapters. Chapter 4, The expansion of the function withcomprehensive space, introduces the types and functions of underground space andclassifies the utilizes from functions of underground space. It studies on thecomposition content and way of the underground synthesis emphatically, and itsexpanding on functions. Chapter 5, The organization of flowed space, throughunderground streamline space analyze and study find out the designs of undergroundentry, the continuity overall arrangement inside and leading sign arrangement, etc.Chapter 6, The creation of humanized space, emphasize that underground space shouldbe led into more natural factors in order to improve the microenvironment inside. Italso study on the creation of physiology environment and psychological environmentin the underground space. The fourth part -- The conclusion and the prospect, that is to say chapter 7. Itsummarizes the other chapters before, emphasizes insisting the constant developingprinciples which is developing into several implement stages, considering perspectivlyand regarding new technology as strut, so that we can create the sustainableunderground space environment in the main centre district of city.
