The Research On Sustainable Development Schemes Of Viaducts In Big City Centre

In recent years, with the increase of travel distance caused by urbanization, thecar grew rapidly and has become the main transportation, which brings greaterpressure to urban traffic. The heavy traffic congestion gives birth to the viaduct whichalleviated greatly urban traffic jams once, improved urban traffic and became thesymbol of city modernization. But, the disadvantages of viaduct gradually revealedafter about twenty years’ construction. The problem of city viaducts not only involvestechnical problems, such as traffic, also involves complicated social problems, such ascity ecological environment, history, culture and so on.As to the increasingly serious problem of the viaduct, experts and scholars putforward the concept of sustainable development of the viaduct. The concept meansthe viaduct not only ensure coordinated development between the viaducttransportation system and the comprehensive transportation system, but ensure long-term dynamic coordinated development between transportation, economy,environment and society. In order to realize the sustainable development of theviaduct, experts and scholars have proposed many schemes, such as building moreviaducts, simply demolishing viaducts, broadening viaduct pavement, etc., the therewere no effective schemes into practice. Based on HWME, this paper will study thesustainable development of city viaducts from views of transportation, environment,business development, urban landscape, communication, cultural, and finally proposethe scheme which sets slow traffic system on the viaduct and sets fast traffic systemunder the viaduct. The research shows the scheme not only improve urban traffic, butpromote environment, business development, urban landscape, communication,cultural, etc., which provides certain reference to the sustainable development of cityviaducts.
