Research On Strategies Of Urban Design For The Central District Of The City Based On The Concept Of Low Carbon

In recent years, accompany with the power-shortage, greenhouse gas emission issue,especially the carbon emission issue, has brought irreversible affection to the globalenvironment. Under the pressure of development and carbon-emission reduction target, withthe rapid increase of urbanization, the number of city dwellers continues to grow, the city scaleenlarges suddenly, and thus it brings more carbon to the cities. Especially in the city centerarea, Because of high strength of land use, high activity intensity of public activities, the highconcentration of city center’s function makes the development of central city facing a seriouschallenge.This paper explores the theories and strategies of the central district of the city from thepoint of view of low-carbon, which could be served as a reference in the decision of urbancenter development and also could actively contribute to the sustainable-development and“resource-conservation and environment-friendly” two types of whole social goals.Firstly, this article summarizes the trend and changes of the corresponding theories andpractices of urban center both in domestic and overseas, analyzes the low-carbon-target andthe theory meaning of the low-carbon-city-design. Secondly, review thelow-carbon-oriented-design methodology and its research progress by detailed analysis ofseveral success cases at home and abroad in parallel. And this paper tries to sum up theavailable ways and basic methods of the low-carbon-oriented-design. Thirdly, this thesis raisesthe practical target, details the factors and ways of low-carbon-oriented-urban-center designand gives impalement ideas against the current main problems we are facing, by analyzing theroot causes of the issues we meet in the development of urban center. Fourthly, this articleanalyze the main features of both the urban center and low-carbon-oriented-city design andsynthesize the necessity and roadmap of its application, on the basis of the summaries oftheory and my research cases.Finally, on the basis of the theoretical summary and case investigation, this paperanalyzes the main features of city center and the design characteristics of the low carbon cities, discusses the necessity and goal path of low carbon cities design used in the design of urbancentral. This article puts forward the effective strategies of low-carbon-oriented-city designmethodology in China, from the view of land-use patterns, low-carbon-oriented traffic system,outside space system, green space system and architectural design. According to the practiceexample of Qianhai center region explore and test feasible methods and strategies based onlow carbon cities of the central city design.
