People have studied the Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal for many years and applied it to the clinical medicine because of its intuitionistic and regular property. Nowadays, cardiopathy is one of the main diseases threatening human's lives. Therefore, the fast extracting and transmitting of ECG signal are the leading factors in diagnosing heart disease, which is very important in clinical medicine.Based on the analysis of the ECG signals characteristics and its data transfer pattern, an equipment has been designed to transmit ECG data quickly, which combines with the latest progress of the electronic technology and follows the thought of modularization design. Not only can this equipment collect ECG signal correctly, but process it simply. At the same time the equipment transmits ECG data to computer through USB interface.The main studies in this thesis are listed as follows:① Study on the whole design scheme .② ECG signal sampling module design, including preamplifier, high pass filter, 50Hz notch filter, electrical level rising and primary amplifier, ADC and FPGA.③ Central processing module design, including DSP core, extended program memory, LCD displaying circuit, printer circuit, FPGA circuit and core power.④ USB transfer module design, including hardware circuit, software flow, transfer pattern, data coding and packet format.⑤ Drivers design, including communication protocol and software module.⑥ Designing digital filter and demarcating the feature points of ECG wave with the traditional ECG analysis algorithm.All these works have been done and the design goal is achieved successfully. That is to say, the thesis has established a good basis for the further development.
