As urban track vehicles develop dramatically, there is an increasing demand in the performances of their bogies. How to measure the performances of urban track vehicles' bogies rapidly has been a vital aspect to the development of urban track vehicles. In order to meet the needs of plenty of testing parameters and large amount of acquisition data in measuring urban track vehicles' bogies, an urban track vehicle bogie measurement system is presented in this paper, based on the virtual instrument programming language of Lab VIEW and the testing bus of PXI.The main test signals of urban track vehicle bogie measurement system are accelerations, strains and voltages. The hardware architecture of the urban track vehicle bogie measurement system is built up after introducing the basic functions and theories of hardware in testing system. And a further analysis on the process of data acquisition is given.The characteristics of software design in the urban track vehicle bogie measurement system are analyzed in the paper. Afterwards, the software architecture of single-thread multi-card coupling cycle and the method of error tracking are introduced and they guarantee both the reliability of measuring system and the coordination of the multiple data acquisition cards working and accord the rates of data acquisition with performances of computer. The saving storage method of double-byte integer was employed to eliminate the bottleneck and decrease charge for hard disk storing, In that, it also improves the whole performance of system remarkably. The introducing of oriented-object technique and multilayer structure successfully solve the problem of information management, make LabVIEW more convenient and improve the system's expansibility.Results of the actual application show this measurement system has strong adaptability and high reliability and can meet the demands for the measuring different aims and environments and use easily. It is also showed that the system can meet the demands for measuring the urban track vehicle bogie.
