The 2rd phase of engineering of Wenzhou power plant has an installed capacity of 600MW(two units), an annual coal consumption of 1,900,000 tons which amount to 2,800,000 tons including the 900,000tons in the 1st phase. In order to meet the increasing demands in coal transportation and loading and unloading volume, it is imperative to build the 2rd phase of coal terminal engineering and improve the supporting facilities, so the purpose of this paper is to make research on the the design scheme of the 2rd phase of coal terminal engineering of Wenzhou power plant. It includes as follows: analyzing the natural conditions of the terminal; defining the initial location and planar dimension of the terminal; selecting the coal-drop equipment and designing the coal-drop technique; analyzing and evaluating the current situation of the channel, the channel capacity and the regulation measures and designing the hydraulic structure. In view of the natural conditions and the operating requirements and by comparison of technology and economy, the construction scheme of the 2nd phase of the coal terminal has been determined as follows: the figure"? will be applied in the planar layout of the 2rd phase of the project, a berth with 20,000tons will be extended in the west side of the 1st phase of coal terminal; the elevated pile and beam-slab structure will be adopted, two coal-drops of 800t/h will be equipped and a belt conveyer of 1600mm( including one in the framed trestle) will be equipped.
