Advanced Friction & Wear Experiment Machine and Tribology experiment technique have great meaning to the research on Tribology. With increasing development of computer technology, automatization testing technology and intelligent control, applying these technologies to Friction & Wear Experiment system is very important for tribology experiment. HDM-10 Digital Intelligent Testing & Control system of End-Face Friction & Wear Experiment Machine just integrates these technologies into the machine.The paper gives the integral model of HDM-10 End-Face Friction & Wear Experiment Machine after analyzing the technology of tribology experiment, and discusses intelligent collection , transmission and dealing of testing signals ,and intelligent control. Then the paper expatiates on the function of software and adopted technology.Testing & Control System of End-face Friction & Wear Experiment Machine adopt serial port communication technique, fuzzy control theory and relation database technology, use the software programmed by VB 6.0 and corresponding hardware to realize the real-time collection, online analysis, saving and display of load, friction torque, line speed, friction coefficient and temperature. At the same time, automatically adjusting speed and self-loading of testing process are researched, The system can give the real-time and right results of tribology experiment and have friendly interfaces. It takes advantage of multithread in visual basic, so the stabilization and reliability are guaranteed. In addition, because of Agent Oriented Design technology and Object Oriented software engineering method, the upgrade of End-face Friction & Wear Experiment Machine is convenient.
