The Study Of Urban Traffic Safety

Since the begging of the century, the urban traffic safety is one of the most troublesome problems of the industrial developed countries. At present, with the great increasing of economic of our country, the volume of demand of the urban traffic become more and more, the vehicle number in cities of China becomes more and more. The present traffic situation of the safety gets more and more worse. The conventional methods in road traffic cannot service to the more and more crowded traffic. Though experts and scholars have been absorbed in traffic problem, there are many things we should do. Or traffic safety will affect and limits the development of cities.Now, to reduce the traffic accident rate and promote the efficiency of the roads in cities is the most important mission. In this paper, the present city urban traffic situation was analyzed and the great meaning of the city road traffic safety management was pointed out. This paper analyzes the causes of traffic accidents in cities. Then it put forward that we should conduct man-machine analysis on every segment of the man-vehicle-road system. Improving the participator' s traffic safety consciousness, making the city road traffic safety plan. Then the paper makes suggestions that we should try to perfect the mechanism of urban road system, perfect the function of the network, harmonize the joint between bicycle road system, sidewalk and vehicle traffic system. Meanwhile, this paper finds the hidden danger of the city road and put forward a framework of traffic system.Base on the rather detailed study of this paper, a road traffic safety analyzing of a city was made and some measures were brought forward. Those may make for the improving of the city road traffic safety management and reducing the traffic accident rate.
