By requirement of 2008 Olympiad sailing games at Qingdao, the experimental study on breakwaters for structural stability, wave overtopping and reflection are made in the two-dimension wave flume with irregular wave generator. A lot of series of experiments show that the designed breakwater satisfies the target function of sailing games.As a new contribution of the modeling experiments, the multivariate joint probability theory is involved in wave overtopping rate induced by extreme sea condition. The stochastic approach shows that the experiments of wave overtopping rate in extreme sea condition give the results with joint return period of 50 -150 years.
