As one of the most important structure in harbor and coastal engineering,the sloping breakwater can protect coastal structures from being destroyed by ocean waves and keep the condition of ship docking.The wave overtopping is the important phenomenon of the interaction between waves and sloping breakwaters.Usually,it may destroy the breakwaters or the buildings behind breakwaters.It is significant to estimate the wave overtopping.The wave overtopping at sloping breakwater is investigated through numerical simulation in this paper,and the main contents and results are as follows.(1)A model to describe pore fluid motion is developed by adding Darcy-Forchheimer motion equation into the N-S equations.The model is applied to simulate wave interaction with porous structures and verified by simulating wave pass through permeable beds,wave interaction with permeable submerged breakwater,wave interaction with permeable emerged breakwater.The results show that the model can well describe wave deformation through porous structures.(2)Adding the accoropodes and the fence as boundary conditions into background mesh by using the snappy mesh tool snappyHex Mesh.And simulate wave transmission through permeable breakwater with armour blocks under regular waves,and the simulation is verified well with measured data,the results show that the model can well simulate wave interation with permeable breakwater with armour blocks.(3)Generation of irregular waves is carried out through the momentum source,Take into consideration porosity of breakwater,include core,cushion,armour layer.The wave overtopping over practical permeable breakwater with armour blocks under irregular waves is simulated,and the overtopping series is given.
