The Bedroom Design Adapting To The Elder's Residence Requirement

With the world elderly population increasing continuously, Chinese population construction also presents the quick aging phenomenon. Now China has entered the old-age society, facing the challenge in many aspects. Cause the degree of advanced- age people proportion in the whole country population construction turns worse, how to satisfy the elderly people's multi-demand becomes an urgent matter in this moment. For the advanced-age people are such a special social community, not only the caring service network development is hungrily needed, the hardware facilities must be paid much concern too. Only in this way, we can really guarantee the life quantity and living quantity of the aged, and then increase both the social civilization degree and the national improvement velocity.This study sets out of the environment art design direction, linked with other related knowledge such as the psychology of environment, the behavioral science of environment and the sociology of elderly people. And the questionnaire investigate research has also been used. All of these researches are firstly aiming at the problems existed now in current living environment design of the aged. The second thing is to look for homologous counter-plan and the most reasonable artifice to solute those questions. Lastly, as a conclusion, minding all the above results well to establish a set of bedroom model fits the elderly people's living demand.The main part of this treatise is made up of four parts:The second chapter analyses the living conditions of people in advanced-age. At first, to expound the generally accepted definition of the residence building for aged people. Then it is to introduce the important design points and the typical experience of other countries. Finally, the Chinese retired people's living style and the residence building's type are analyzed, and the disadvantages are pointed out. The third chapter mainly demonstrates the organism variety and behavior characteristics of elderly people. Those following substances are discussed: the data of human's body work which concerns advanced-age person, the features of aged people's body transformation and the type of daily behavior. As an investigative core of this research, the behavior of rest and recuperate is analyzed according to two vectors: one is time, the other is space. The fourth chapter sorts and studies the environmental elements, which could influence the elder's behavior of rest and recuperate. This part starts from art design direction, and joins together to the data of investigation and the theoretical study. By this way, the characteristics of this core behavior can be summed up, and the qualitative analysis to the related influence factors can be done.As a center and the target mission of this article, the fifth chapter is not only a summary to the above contents, but also integration to the keys studied out before. In the end, the suggestion of both qualitative and quantitative is given, and a maneuverability simple model is made out.
