With the integration of the world economy, the trade between our country and other nations grows quickly, and the container throughput keep a high velocity increase, which gives a newer and higher requirement of the loading-and-unloading technics and loading-and-unloading equipment technology of the container port.The layout and management of the container port faces tremendous challenge. How to use the limited area and establishment of the port to efficiently accomplish the container's loading and unloading has been a momentous task to the erectors and the governors of the port.The wharf yard is the collection and disperse place of the container, and is the tache that connects wharf foreland and rear gate, which ensure the whole port logistics can keep running continuously and efficiently. The layout and management of the wharf play a very important role in our country's seaport container terminals logistics system. Therefore, we should change old terminals into new container terminals that has modern equipments and advanced manegerment. To build automatic terminal is the development direction of the port. Mark out the terminal's layout logically and collacate equipment reasonally, realize machine automatized and management informated, manege the yard with real-time information, take good use of the port resources, all these are the powerful method to improve the ability of port' loading and unloading.At the beginning of the paper, a literature review on the domestic and abroad researches of container terminal logistics system is provided, and then the author discuss some kinds of typical port loading and unloading technics. On this basic, the paper layouts the container automatic yard logistics system and correlative capability parameters.Secondly, the thesis discusses the modeling theory of container yard logisticssystem-queue network theory and analyses the application of this theory incontainer yard queue system. Based on this, the thesis discusses the main research work of the container yard queue system. Then the author combines the queue network theory with container yard queue systems, and discuss the steady stateindications of the container yard queue systems.Thirdly, the thesis discusses the modeling theory of container terminals production system based on the theory of disperse event dynamic system, On the basis of the layout of the container automatic yard and rules of its loading and unloading. utilized witness software-a kind of professional simulation software, the author accomplish mumerric simulation of the container yard logistics system and can realize computer dynamic simulation which can simulate the dynamic process of container's loading and unloading process.At last, according to the computer simulation models, the thesis analyses different questions aim at different purpose, such as: the logical scheme of yard machines, the optimization of yard machine attempter, the affect that some kinds of working environment effect on the yard's work, and the most high-point throughput of the yard and its bottle-neck, All this provides the decision support for the terminal manegement.
