Assessment System In Urban Design

Assessment system in urban design has an important character that is throughout urban design project all the time. According to the process of urban design execution, assessment system can be divided into four stages, which are target, design, execution and final assessment stage.Each stage is tightly interrelated. Whichever is missed, the integrity and scientific methods of the assessment system will be suffered.The assessment system has a nature that is beyond political framework and legislation. So similar foreign assessment systems can be conveniently referred. This article introduces some for referring in the same study in our country. This thesis provides references for the studies in China by introducing some similar type of theories from the foreign countries. Meanwhile, unequivocal theoretical basis should be established so that urban design can be executed successfully.
