Modern high-tech weaponry taking automated system as kernel, is playing a more and more important role in contemporary war. With the rapid improvement of military technology and the arising of high-tech war, the speed and precision of the missile aiming control system are required to reach a higher standard. With the advantage of unique dual-core structure and character of high performance and low consumption, Open Multimedia Applications Platform (OMAP) which integrate DSP core with the character of high performance and low consumption with ARM processor with the quality of strong control performance, is widely applied to the fields, such as 3G wireless communication, video conference, automatic control, measuring instrument and military and so on. Based on the applied theory of embedded microprocessor OMAP5910, this dissertation brings forward a new design plan of general embedded system and applies it in the design of synchronous aiming controller. At the same time, the flexibility of the design is enhanced and the function of the system is extended as the result of the utilization of FPGA. The hardware of this system which is designed with Mentor PowerPCB software, adopts high speed PCB design methods with comprehensive design simulation to ensure the reliability. Benefiting from the high performance and low consumption of OMAP processor, the system expands its general interfaces and provides a perfect solution for the design of synchronous aiming controller. First of all, the paper briefly analyses the current developing state of embedded system and emphasizes the structural features of embedded OMAP microprocessor. Secondly, the hardware design of synchronous aiming controller and high speed PCB design methods are discussed in detail. Finally, software design flow of the system and program course are described in the thesis.
