In the process of building modern special vehicles,with the diversification and highly integration of tasks,various kinds of external equipment controlled by a single vehicle are increasing.How to use advanced science and technology to develop an embedded communication controller which can centralize the management of external equipment with different functions and accept unified control from the upper level has become a key issue in the manufacture of special vehicles.At the same time,as a highly integrated programmable logic device,FPGA has strong flexibility.It is becoming a trend to use it to implement various interface protocols to communicate with different multi-functional devices.Firstly,aiming at the actual requirement of the number and variety of external devices in the communication controller system and the new devices may be accessed in the future,this paper proposes a scheme architecture which takes ARM+FPGA as the hardware core and collocates diverse interface circuits to realize the overall function.On this basis,by understanding the functions and parameters of all kinds of chips,the selection of key components and the design of main interface circuits are given.Then,according to the various interfaces of the actual access of the system,the related protocols and technical principles are introduced respectively.Secondly,in the light of the selected scheme,the design of system software is completed first,so that the data and control information can be successfully transmitted between the upper application and FPGA.Mainly carries on the embedded Linux system transplantation,the related configuration of GPMC and the development of the FPGA driver.Afterwards,through the study of diverse types of interface protocols,using programmable logic resources in the FPGA,adopting the "top-down" design method,to complete respectively the modular hardware circuit design,implementation and simulation verification of multiple interface protocols.Finally,the communication controller designed in this paper is integrated and tested.The integrated system forms a complete embedded multi-functional programmable communication controller platform,which mainly includes eight RS-232 interfaces,eight S-485 interfaces,one K interface,four audio interfaces and eight GPIO interfaces.In addition,some general interfaces for new equipment access are reserved.Through the practical test of hardware circuit,software driver and interface functions,the rationality and correctness of the system platform design are finally verified.
