It points out that the zoos we design nowadays should be a place where people and animals and nature can get together very well.21ct is the time when people go after the sustainable development and planning. We have applied plenty of examples and illustrations in this paper to analysis the history and development of the zoo, place selecting, planning ideas, general planning, sectional planning , design of Cage of architectural structure, the species, arrangement of the older and the simulation show in ecology and so on .and i have got a periodic result. the paper has filled the black in the field of the planning and design of zoos in china, provide the theoretic principle for modern zoo's designers, investors and administrators.
