In this manuscript, the model of vehicle and ABS controller are built by the MATLAB/SIMULINK software. This model can simulate the process of ABS in different road surface adhesion. The data of simulation of various signal such as vehicle speed, wheel speed, valve driver etc. can be display by curve. The control algorithm of ABS is built with toolbox of STATEFLOW under MATLAB. The control algorithm of ABS is studied with this tool in detail.In order to study and develop ABS system in real vehicle, the on broad measure system for ABS is made. It includes software and hardware. The hareware include sensor, signal condition, acquiring card and onbroad computer. The software is programmed by Visual Basic computer language. This system can record and measure relative signals of braking process such as vehicle speed, wheel speed, ABS valve driver, braking pressure. From those data, the vehicle braking distance and vehicle deceleration acceleration can be calculation. With this system, the whole test can be finished according the standard of ECE Regulation R 13 Annex 13: Test requirements for vehicles fitted with anti-lock systems. The test data can be disposed and analyzed with this software. The test result can be evaluated.With onboard measure system, two kinds of ABS system are tested in the vehicle of CHANGAN STAR SC6350. One ABS is from original vehicle, another is from JIAET Company. The test is done on high adhesion surface according ECE R13 regulation. The data is analyzed and compared. At the same time, the result of road test and that of simulation are analyzed. The efficiency and accuracy of model is verified.In summary, this manuscript will introduce the building of ABS and vehicle system, the developing of on broad measure system for ABS braking and the process of ABS road test according ECE R13. It can be of signification for developing real ABS controller. It also can accelerate the process of ABS production with our own technology knowledge property in China.
