The Conservation And The Renewal Researches Of Liujiang Town

With the economy and cities booming and booming, a period aftertime reformation renewal of the traditional towns in the west of Sichuan province will be carried on in large-scale. This make how combine the regional economy and the cultural characteristics to carry on the renewal to the existing historic town ,also be how to make the city space adapt to the demand of development in protection to become the outstanding problem.In this dissertation, with the concrete circumstance of Liujiang town , author carry on the investigation to the present conditions and developments of the town from several different points, in order to know the history meanings and realistic meanings of the inheritance of the ancient town well. At the same time according to the problem it face at present and domestic and international related theories and the fulfillment experience, author carry on comprehensive analysis in protection and renewal methods in order to find a new way suitable for Liujiang town.The dissertation is composed of three parts, the first part begins with the analysis of Liujiang town's history and the natural environment, and the main changes of it's city space in the past. Then from the landscape, the city space and the construction three aspects, the author analysis Liujiang town's special features and worthiness. Author introduced the theories and methods of both inland and overseas , and established this dissertation's theory foundation-sustainable development thought and organic renewal theory. On the foundation about the analysis of Liujiang town's special features and problems it faced, author discussed the relationship between the protection and the renewal. Then combine the characteristics of the traditional town renewal process, author get five principles about Liujiang town's protection and renewal works- which are the sustainable utilization, the balance between conversation and development, organic renewal, culture continuance ,and public participation .The third part addresses on the conversation and renewal methods about Liujiang town to carry on. At first, the author analyzes the policy and economic feasibility of the protection and the renewalworks about Liujiang town. According to the characteristics of this town, then from three points of view substance configuration society and economy, the author summaries the methods and techniques of conversation and development for historic towns. At last, through the experience and consideration during the involvement in the practical work, author tally up that to make the protection and the renewal works of the historic town well, we should have clear understanding about the protection and renewal works in historic towns first, and should understand the two works' relationship and their meanings. Then combine with the state of the nation currently author put forward the necessities and actuality about the development in traditional towns, aiming to provide reference to the protection and the renewal of historic towns in China.
