Vibration measuring is the most common means of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. Presently, existing vibrometer on the marketplace have low ratio of performance and price . therefore, it has practical significance to research and develop more powerful, lower cost and intelligent handheld vibrometer. To solve the deficiency of existing vibration measuring system on the marketplace, A handheld vibration measuring system was designed in the paper by using TMS320VC5402 DSP chip. At the same time, some key topic is studied in the course of design.Firstly, hardware circuit of handheld vibration measuring system has been designed in the dissertation. Which includes power system, signal sample and conditioning circuit, ADC circuit, data process and analysis circuit, data storage circuit, communication circuit, single chip microcontroller circuit, etc. At the same time, in the course of design, keyword circuit and some interface circuit were design by CPLD, and which reduced the production cost ,power cost and PCB area. Secondly, based on handheld vibration measuring system's hardware, software has been designed in the dissertation. Software system consists of DSP program and single chip microcontroller program. DSP program realize data sample and process subfunction, data communication subfunction and keyboard decode subfunction; single chip microcontroller program realize control of DS12C887 and display of LCD. Finally, with the application to Measuring and contrasting of real signal, the result shows the system is effective and feasible.
