Today it becomes more and more common to install ABS in vehicles for the reason that ABS can improve vehicle stability and drivability remarkably. It is a hard work to match ABS with vehicle. With traditional developing system we should insert and pull out the ROM chip on the ECU board constantly. At the same time the working process and function result can't be observed online, so it always costs much time. However, In present dissertation, a set of new ABS developing system based on Dual Port RAM is designed. With this developing system, the ABS parameters can be modified online and the running process and result can also be observed in the mode of curve, so the matching efficiency of ABS can be increased greatly.The hardware circuit of a new set of ABS developing system which is based on Dual Port RAM is presented in this dissertation. With shared RAM IDT70261 this kind of Developing System can make fast and real time data communication between microcontroller C164CI and computer in EPP mode, so that it can modify parameters and analyze running result easily.In this set of ABS developing system a chip of CPLD EPM7128STC100 was adopted to realized the parallel communication between the main control computer and Dual Port RAM IDT70261. By this way the size of PCB and the developing period can be reduced, as well the stability of the system can be increased greatly.The software environment of the developing system which was devised with Visual Basic language mainly realized two part of functions. One is to integrate some function menus such as text display, dialog box display, toolbar etc on the interface. Another is to build the debugging environment of microcontroller which can complete following tasks: download program to Dual Port RAM, run program, read back the content of register, gather data, stop running, display curve and so on. With the help of CPLD designing tool Maxplus II and serial commutation testing tool Minimon which is based on the mode BSL of microcontroller C164CI, the software and hardware of the developing system was tested. The result indicated that with this kind of developing system for ABS , the debugging time of ABS can be reduced greatly and the matching efficiency can be increased , so that it will promote the development of ABS enormously.
