Hybrid excitation brushless DC motor is a new type motor developed on permanent magnet BLDC motor. Because of both advantages of the permanent magnet DC machines and easy to get magnetic flux control, Hybrid excitation brushless DC motor has a great possibility to use for electric vehicle application. An excitation winding is fixed to regulat magnetic flux conveniently . Hybrid excitation brushless DC motor control system based DSP is mostly analysed to optimize magnetic flux changing and speed control. First, the structure, working principle and the mathematic model of the motor are introduced. And then, the hardware and the software design of the digital control system are elaborated. The system and the element mainly used in the system are introduced as well as the control circuit and the main circuit design. The key points lies in interface resolve method in hybrid voltage-logic design, A/D sampling circuit, SPI communication port and the protect of the main circuit. In the software parts, integrated control strategic is introduced firstly, and then the imagination of subsection control is brought out. The resources allocation of the system software is discussed in detail. At last flow-charts of main program, program initialization and program interruption are formulated. The scheme is applied in a brushless DC motor and the result shows the control system based on TMS320LF2406A DSP CPU can start the motor smoothly and realize the correct phase-changing and stable operation.
