This thesis discusses in detail how to realize the design of Video Detecting Card based on "the system of Video detecting vehicle and automatically recording".The whole design is composed of two parts: Video Acquisitio module and Video processing module.In the part of Video Acquisitio, SAA7111A is used. SAA7111A is a kind of decode chip of Philips. This chip can not only offer analy input and digital video decoder functions,but also decode multi-standard signals .Data output streams of SAA7111A have a lot of formats.SAA7111A is a highly intergrated circuit for desktop video applications. The part of Video processing processes images of Video Acquisitio part and relizes communications with host.In this part, we discuss how to use DSPs to design system, including the choice of DSPs,DSPs design of peripheral memory,the design of power supply circuit,the design of clock circuit. At the same time,we describle dsps to host interfacing.After the deeply studying to the system, we provide a full plan to the core controller of the system and have finished the emulation design by the EDA tools.The design of FPGA uses design method of top-down and Hardware Description Language, reduces develop time and cost.The design takes into enough consideration for the redundancy design and extension of system. From system debug,we can see that Video Detecting Card can finish the processing of the still or dynamic image according to the choice of the different software plan and provides a basement for the future designs. This design gives the reference to the other design as same as our system.
