Reliability technique is a developing subject, which studies how to find the faults of products and then to avoid and to prevent them. The major principle is that various possible fault could be forecast and prevented by analyzing the operational informations and experiment data feedback. For a long term, low quality ad high fault rate of the products are major problems for many user in various fields, especially in the field of martial industry. The purpose of this paper is to propose a new method and technique to improve the reliability of auto-loading system of the third-generation main battle tank and to diagnose the system fault rapidly. Based on this, a simulating loading system for auto-loading was developed and has run in a martial factory, with good feedback.This system can simulate practical operation conditions, such as, auto-loading, replenishing, unloading and etc, and various dynamic characteristic curves by an advanced computer controller. Output data was firstly feedback to Data Collecting and Treating System and then a comprehensive analysis and processing was carried out in an Intelligent Fault Diagnose Expert System, finally the location of fault was completed.The major advantages of the system are as follows:By coupling of reliability growth testing and modern computer controlling technique, the reliability of the Auto-LoadingSystem and total performance of the tank improved greatly.The Intelligent Fault Diagnose Expert System can diagnose locations of system fault rapidly.System can carried out data processing, report forms creating, error alarming automaticallySimulating the operational informations of the auto-loading machine with Three-Dimension Animation give the system a good visibilityCombining communication between upper and lower computer, programmable logic controller, and data processing result in the systemattractive performance characteristics, such as, high integration, excellent anti-jamming capacity, and good stability.
