Certain type of Generator Control Unit(GCU) and Bus Power Control Unit(BPCU) are two newly developed products. Playing an essential part in the aeroplane power supply system, they must be strictly tested before they are dispatched from the factory to ensure their quality. Concerning the fact that the traditional testing methods cannot meet the requirements of the high-speed, high-precision, multi-functional and multi-parameter tests, it is urgent to develop an automated test system which can be used for both products. Virtual instrument is the result of the combination of computer technology and instrument technology. This thesis is a research on how to build an automated test system based on virtual instrument. First, a brief introduction about the hardware platform of the system is given. Programmable power source is employed to simulate the generator. By manipulating the programmable power source and switch network, signals that are transmitted to GCU and BPCU are produced. Data acquisition card collects data about the power output to realize a close-loop control, and protection signal of the two controllers to compute the delay time. Followed are some mathematical methods of the analysis and processing of the signals of the system as well as a comparison of those methods. As for the close-loop control a comparative approach is adopted to make an analysis of the methods for collecting data by data acquisition card. The final part of the thesis is how, with the support of LabVIEW, to automatically get the testing records and achieve an auto-network test system. The innovations of this thesis are as follows: the close-loop power control, a comparative analysis of the methods on the realization of driving the non-NI data acquisition card based on LabVIEW, offering methods of testing parameters, and coming up with some ideas on automated generation of complex report。...
