Experimental Research On The RC Beams Strengthened By Gluing Steel Plates Under Static Loading

On the basis of static loading tests of 6 reinforced concrete beams with bonding steel plates of different thickness and different anchorage measures, this paper studies the failure forms and mechanical performance of reinforced concrete beams with bonding steel plates. The strengthening mechanism of the bonding steel plates at the bottom under the action of the static loading is also investigated. Compared With the testing results, the theoretical analysis has been carried out to the problems of the calculation for the flexure capacity and deflection of the reinforced concrete beams with bonding steel plates and the anchorage of the bonding steel plates at the bottom. Investigation is made to the problems of failure process for the reinforced concrete beams with bonding steel plates .Suggestions have been given to the calculation for the reinforced concrete beams with bonding steel plates and the anchorage for the bonding steel plates.
