Study On The Environmental Design Of The Residential Quarter In Baotou City

The thesis focuses on the environment design in the modern urban residential quarter of China and discusses mainly the environment design ideals fitted the urban developing demand which thinks about the locality and humanization deeply, meet the requirement of the citizen's life, increase the civic landscape and create the healthy living space, finally embody the thoughts we talking about in the article and consider the human concern sufficiently.The article starts with the concept of the human settlement, explaining the phrase, the research background and the significance firstly, then the residential quarter design theories and development both here and abroad is introduced and in retrospect briefly, and the analysis is settled especially on these three parts: the Chinese traditional residential environment thoughts, the residential quarter environment design and the development theories abroad. In the chapter second, through discussing the human settlement theories system and questioning the urban residential quarter mode based on the neighbourhood unit, the method how to reach the human concern during the course of design is debated and the advices how to state the locality is offered. The chapters third and fourth are the high light of the whole thesis. The third one talks about the locality of urban settlement environment with the explanation about the localism and the landscape environment. Then, in the chapter fourth, the geography, climate, human nature are concerned under the analysis system and several principles and method which contain the special locality are settled. Finally in the chapter fifth, an actual case which was done ever by the penman is taken for instance in order to show the proceeding how to use the principles above and express fully the locality of the urban residential quarter and the humanization. At last, the conclusions of the whole article are drawn conceivably.
