The Study Of Landscape Design About Courtyard

The courtyard is an apotheosis combined with landscape and building , but the understanding of courtyard is often confined to the building space, however, it is also an important creation point of microscale in the landscape design. Although the connotation and extension of landscape design going forward nowadays, any " Landscape Architecture " must be come back to the aspect of " Garden " finally. The courtyard introduces natural elements into the environment of artificial buildings as a special kind of " Garden ", which meet many demands of people such as rest, intercourse and view etc. Thus the study and application on this kind landscape should be given quite special attentions. The study of this paper includes the following several aspects: First, the historical position and kernel of courtyard was found out through studying the tradition and clearing up the skeleton of courtyard. And the inheritance and development was discussed in the present age. Second, the key element of the design of view of the courtyard was analysed , summed up and filtered. Thus finally we set up the following system: 1, Entity's key elements -----virescence, water body , decorations , sculpture; 2, dummy key element ------Space; 3, surrounding key element ------buildings and constructions . Third, we discussed the present common courtyard types, which roughly were divided into three kinds: 1, Courtyard of inhabited region --reflecting the life atmosphere; 2, the space courtyard of culture and education --reflecting the human culture ; 3, the commemorative space courtyard --reflecting the theme of commemoration. Meanwhile , the law of design was researched by analyzing the samples. Fourth, we investigated the courtyard from art , culture , urban design from the different visual angles , thus improve the frame of studying. And investigating from the visual angle of art, we understood various kinds design possibilities. And investigating from visual angle of culture , we expounded the fact that how utilized microscale courtyard 1 view to expressing region culture and high emotion. And investigating from visual angle of urban design, we expounded to using tactics of" framework " and " sew up " to implement a subsystem plan of afforesting courtyard ,and to propose the exploration of the three-dimensional courtyard at the same time . Fifth, the revelation was acquired through studying the courtyard and it was explained by using an example.
