As a kind of electric power measure product, electronic watt-hour meter has somespecial traits in the whole design. No matter in hardware design or in softwaredesign, it is a job which need many tests, Test the compatible of electromagnetism,test its function. During the long period of design, some experiences was summedup, such as some point about how to design it in hardware and software and givesome attentions in unti-interfere and compatible of electromagnetism. By this,we can apply it in producing and manufacturing .All long the Motorola chip alwaysused in high technology such as aviation, communication, DSP and so on. But theapply in common is little. By now a new chip MC68HC908LK24 appeared in order toenter the area of power meter. As the lab of its usage in power meter, base onmany tests, this chip has achieved the test in electromagnetism. Now it has beenapplied in power meter and some traits of this chip. The part of communicationis one of the most important parts in the design of many electric products. Serialcommunication and infrared communication can transfer information in shortdistance, while carrier wave communication and the technology of GPRS can transferinformation in long distance .All of those technology make much information easyto gather and dispose. Here will expound the technology of carrier wavecommunication and refer to some ways of how to design the software and hardwareof this part base on the product of electric power meter.
