Scientific load management is an effective way to alleviate the conflict between the power supplying and consumption. The primary goal of this research is to develop a Multi-purpose Watt-hour Meter to adapt to the new management mode. The Meter supplies Active, Reactive and Apparent Energy, Sampled Waveform, Current and Voltage RMS .It charges on time and communicate in power line. We economize a mass of money by utilizing electric power net and maintenance is easy. User can plug and play.The thesis introduces the state of distribution automation. Then discuss the theory of spreading spectrum transmission, synchronization of DS communication. Moreover expound the theory of brainpower energy meter and realization. Include SPI between ADE7753 and MCU, I2C interface between clock and MCU. We analyze the power line carrier system based on PL2101B, include interface circuitry between PL2101B and MCU; Carrier wave transmit and receive circuit; base amplitude circuit and power amplitude circuit; send and get data procedure; At last explain the course of debugging the Multi-purpose Watt-hour Meter.
