Based on the development of method and function of energy measurement, and application of various communication mode in automatic meter reading, the paper analyzes the feasibility of applying different communication mode and collection terminal unit . in energy monitoring according to diverse characteristic of electric equipments and energy consumers who are substation, industrial consumer, distribution transformer, resident, etc. The paper extends application of GPRS data collection terminal unit that is used widely in electrical power system in resent years and the low voltage wave carrying technique to residential energy meter reading. Using this technique, the area of network monitoring is enlarged, not only limited in transformer substation and main lines in downtown. The proposed technique can be used universally and is high valuable in practice. It is also helpful to enhance monitoring and managing of distribution network and improve efficiency of running and management of electrical utilities. |
