Along with the advantage of technology, human are changing all aspects of environment at unexpected speed. The change of the managing electrical equipments makes the style of managing electrical equipments change with each passing day. For the managers of the electrical equipments in QingZang railway departmens, they need a sort of information system which can update graph and data at real time. This paper is produced in this context.In this paper, the GIS design used in management for QingZang railway power supply equipments, instructed by systematic science technologies management information system is presented, which also integrates multi-technologies coming from Information technology, computer science, and electrical equipment management technology. Practice and principles in software engineering are also applied in this design according to business analysis and user case analysis.Moreover, one step forward on data acquirement, data organization and coding process are discussed in this dissertation, together with general database concepts and its logic design, an electrical equipment database model which incorporates space database and property database is established. By using object-oriented practice in mainstream GIS developing platform, the development for electrical equipment management GIS is finished. It meets the need for massive graphic data analysis and data processing, automating the management for power supply equipments, and significantly improving work efficiency. In the end, the author discusses the advantage and disadvantage of the system, gives the work which should be done in the future to improve the efficiency of the system. By playing a great role in management for QingZang railway department, it m akes remarkable social and economic benefit.This dissertation is emphasizing positive integration on GIS technology and information sy stem p rinciples, w hich i s b ased o n t he c omprehensive w ork o n t he business of QingZang railway departments, I am sure it can pave the way for further exploration and positive attempt on railway GIS development.
