In February 8th 2001, the construction of section Ge-la, the second stage of Qingzang Railway, was approved by the State Department. In April 2002, according to document 2002J001-D of the Science and Technology department of Ministry of railways, the Si-Fang locomotive rolling stock company took the project of the research and manufacture of the business railcar of Qingzang Railway. At the end of the year, the business railcar "Tian'an A0003" was accomplished. It is the first case in the field of the world, which can be applied in the district up to 5000m in altitude and be designed to cope with the situation in Qingzang Plateau such as low pressure, oxygen lack, severe cold, too much blizzard, gale and multivariate climate etc.On the basis of summarizing the application of plateau railway and oxygen supply scheme home and abroad, the oxygen supply request of business railcar under the environment of Qingzang Plateau is analyzed. After the contract of varieties of examples, the oxygen supply scheme of "Tian'an A0003" is designed. And the oxygen supply amount of the business railcar is also calculated. The spot testing of oxygen plant sets in Qingzang Plateau is undertaken and analyzed. And the suggestion on oxygen supply of rail transportation in Qingzang Railway is proposed. The research detail goes as follow:1. The operation and oxygen supply of plateau locomotive and rolling stock abroad is analyzed.2. The hazard to human body and train security, caused by climate of Qingzang Plateau, especially oxygen lack, is analyzed. Thebasic request for business railcar in Qingzang Plateau in air condition, pressure compensation, train encapsulation, oxygen supply and electronic system is showed.3. Through contrast of work principle, capability, application request, economy of all kinds of oxygen supply scheme, the design scheme of oxygen-enriching membrane oxygenerator adapted to Qingzang Railway is figure out.4. The oxygen supply level in business railcar in Qingzang Railway is studied and the density of carbon dioxide, input air amount and oxygen supply amount is calculated, which lays the foundation of railcar oxygen supply level control scheme.5. The oxygen supply and noise testing in plain and plateau district of Qingzang Railway railcar is undertaken. Some suggestion on oxygen supply along Qingzang Railway transportation is put forward according to the testing result.
