Five times large-scale acceleration has been done on our main lines since 1997. As our railway net is basically public by passenger car and freight car, so freight car must be accelerated with the increasing speed of passenger car. At the present, economy of our country have come into fast rising period, goods traffic grow day and day, running freight car of large axle load is effective measure to enhance capacity of railway transportation and solve shortage of transit ability.The key of acceleration and adding axle load of freight car is bogie. The parameters of bogie and it's components will affect firsthand dynamic performance of wagon vehicle, so it is important to know these parameters exactly in the process of developing bogie.An universal parameter test rig of freight car is need to meet requirement of railway transportation development by Vehicle manufactories. China South Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Corporation established item to develop the universal parameter test rig of freight car in 2003. In the thesis, the universal parameter test rig of freight car is researched under this background.In this paper, on the basis of studying parameter test rigs existing of bogie, according to the reference of GB5599-1985, based on material requirements which are put forward by MeiSan Rolling Stock, link up with the characteristics of freight car in our country, the design project of test rig is accomplished. Firstly the scheme of test rig is brought forward, considering the influence of wheel axle load discrepancy on vehicle dynamics performance and braking performance is more serious with the freight car increasing speed and axle load, the test for wheel axle load is designed. Then machine parts of test are designed on the basis of the scheme of test rig. The intensity and model of three parts which bear considerable loads is analyzed by means of the finite element method. Test means of vehicle parameter is studied and material test scheme is provided based on configuration characteristics of test. The parameter test system adopts virtual instrument technic, it's test software has been completed. Up to now, the installation of test rig has been completed and the intension test of seventy ton's freight has been accomplished successfully.
