The Port Layout Research Of Iron Ore Import In China

China economy have boomed with the 21st century comes. The demand for steel is greatly increased in China as a consequence of the growing efforts made to strengthen the construction of infrastructures, the implementation of the strategy for the large-scale development of the western regions and the development of the old industrial base of northeast. The resource of iron ore in China is plentiful, but it's quality too inferior to fit for the requirement of the steel industry. And from 1990, the import iron ore have increased rocketed. At 2003, the quantities of import iron have reached 14,8200,000 tons, most of it is transported by ocean shipping. The increasing import iron ore have conflict with the scarcity of the port discharging system, so the vessels cannot finish the loading or discharging work normally, which makes negative influence on China economy. These papers not only brings a method of the ports layout throughout analyzing the condition of iron ore transportation, but also gives some suggestion to the layout of the ports where import iron ore discharged in China mainland.
