China is not only prolific of coal but also has large consumption. The coal transportation is the most staple bulk cargo in our country that it occupies 25% cargo transportation market by water carriage. In the progressively competitive coal transportation market, self-unloading coaler is welcome by the user, especially by the littoral industrial users that have large demand of coal for some of its advantages such as low berth investment price, short discharge time, fast turnover period.However the domestic design and manufacture ability of self-unloading coaler is too low. Whether on software or hardware, it is not to be compared to that of advanced countries.Based on newest data and deep research of haiwangxing self-unloading control system, the configuration, mode of the system are analyzed firstly in this thesis, at the same time the working principle and attention points for system design introduced. Then the flow of the discharge process is analyzed in detail and the system is designed accordingly. The most popular industrial product and technique are adopted here and program is coded based on programmer logic controller. Self-unloading monitoring software is designed subsequently for the convenience of operation on site and maintenance daily. Site simulation, real-time monitoring, alarm display, history check, report statistics are included as its main function. For Adopting configuration software as developing language and also ActiveX technology and computer animation technology used in software designing, the system is simple operated and has lively pictures, complete functions also it can run steady and be debugged easily.This thesis aims to upgrade the old system on the foundation of studying foreign self-unloading coaler control system, also it can be regard as a research for domestic self-unloading coaler system design. Wish it can be adopted as project solution or auxiliary documents for some related companies in order to improve domestic self-unloading coaler control system.
