Heat-exchange equipment is important process equipment used widely in industry of chemical engineering, oil refining and electric power, light industry, atomic energy, pharmaceutical industry, metallurgy etc. It amounts higher portion in gross investment of an enterprise. The CAD technology has been used practically in every field. The research and development for design and manufacture of heat exchanger by CAD technology is the general trend in field of heat-exchange equipment.Heat-exchanger CAD system (HECAD) realizes the integration of Technological design, Mechanical design and Components design for heat-exchange equipment with longitudinal flow of shell-side fluid. With the use of the system, not only energy can be saved, expenditure invested in the equipment can be cut, the design quality and efficiency of the equipment can be enhanced, but also development cycle of new production can be shortened, the design of heat-exchange equipment can be optimized and engineers can be broken away form repetition burdensome labor.The system has succeeded in two-dimension drawing of components and played an important role in the process of design for heat-exchange equipment with longitudinal flow of shell-side fluid since it was developed. But now it needs to be upgraded. The old system can only be run in the edition of AutoCAD R14, as we all know, the CAD software used widely at the present time are AutoCAD 2000, AutoCAD2004/2005, so it is not convenient to use, and there is also problem in software compatibility when invoked by CAE software. So the dissertation adopts AutoCAD 2000 as developing platform, exerts the technology of ObjectARX 3.0 dynamic link libraries of Autodesk and takes MSVC++(Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0) as translating and editing program environment to secondary develop AutoCAD 2000 on the basis of old source code.In this dissertation, according to the status quo, developing trend of heat-exchange equipment CAD technology and the characteristic of heat-exchanger CAD system, the upgrade technology of heat-exchanger CAD technology is researched . The dissertation expatiates the basic theory in CAD technology of heat-exchange equipment, discusses the characteristic of every development environment for heat-exchange CAD system, introduces the technology of ObjectARX, expatiates the upbuilding step and the disposal way of errors of ObjectARX program, customizes the menu of HECAD system, expatiates the upgrading methods of HECAD system from lower edition to high edition, analyses the technology of HECAD system(Dialog, Database etc.) used in old edition, proposes betterment suggestion and upgrading method, enhances the stability and compatibility and gives a better basis for upgrading later to HECAD system.In the dissertation, according to the theory of equipment technology economicsand integration management of equipments,equipment investment is taken as the object function and the equations of heat transfer and fluid resistance in thermal energy engineering research centre is adopted, to optimize the technological design of heat-exchange equipment under the condition of multiple constraint. Some works about integration of optimization algorithm of Matlab with main program are also done.The help system, startup program and uninstall program of HECAD system are developed The new system only includes necessary programs and relative assistant files, so it takes less space in computer compared with the old system and is more convenient and intelligent to use and install.
