High-speed motors are applied in all area such as machine industry and national defense industry. On account of lower cost, simple structure and advanced control technology, asynchronous motor is the main choice as high-speed motor. At present,The technology for design of high-speed motors is not perfect, many problem for design and technics are not solved, the interrelated investigations are carried out in all advanced industry country. Related with the practice project "internal grinding machine high-speed bearing motors computer control system",the two aspect problem for design and control of high-speed bearing motors are discussed in this thesis, On the aspect of design, the key problem for design of high speed asynchronous motor: rating data and electromagnetic design; critical rotate speed calculate; structure design; noise reducing; motor cooling are discussed in the thesis. The related solving methods are proposed, providing the reference for design and development of high-speed bearing motor. On the aspect of control,MRAS-based speed sensorless vector control system of high-speed asynchronous motor is investigated. The vector oriented control has brought essential advances in AC variable speed drive system. Speed sensorless induction motor drive promotes the simplicity and robustness further, and two problems must be solved in the system: the speed estimation and rotor flux observation; Based on the former researches, the speed estimation and rotor flux observation methods are studied using the theory of model reference adaptive system. Considering the time variability of the stator and rotor parameters of induction motors, the methods make real-time identification of the parameters to retain the dynamic performance of the drive system. The simulation results show the MRAS-based field oriented control system has good static and dynamic performance.
