With the development of modern industry, coordinate measurement machine is becoming leading checkout equipment of the mechanical manufacturing industry gradually. The automation and intelligent degree coordinate measur_ ement machine are increasing constantly too, intelligent becoming developing direction of the coordinate measurement machine of future generation. And the technology of CAD characteristic discerns and get the data is keys among them . This subject is based on CAD/CMM integrates technological,in the Visual C++ 6.0 environment of the ObjectARX and MFC class libraries, graphical data are obtained by secondary development of MDT, make the route of measurement, produce the route of measurement automatically.The author combines the theoretical research with developing actually. Adopt MDT as the platform,ObjectARX as a developing tool, realize getting information of three-dimensional surface model and entity' s model figure in MDT. And, MDT can open IGES and STEP file of other CAD systems . In this way, the drawing can realize the abstraction of information too in MDT in other CAD. The data drawn from MDT realize data interchange through COM interface with coordinate measurement machine, the measurement machine of the coordinate measures the route according to this planning, realize automatic measurement.
