R&D Of Automatic Steel Strapping Machine

Automatic steel strapping machine is a sort of special machinery used to pack steelpipe bundle. As we know, steel pipe is very heavy (its State Standard is 5 tons/bundle)and long (6~15m). It's difficult to be transported if it is not packed into a bundle.In the past several decades, the steel strapping technology had been developinggreatly in the developed countries. The steel packing equipment is becomingspecialization, multi-type and more automatic and reliable. The world famous steelpacking equipment supplier are SIGNODE (America), SUND BIRSTA (Swedish) andTITAN (Germany), etc.While in China we only can manufacture some usual packing machinery to meet thedemand of light industry and have to import automatic steel packing equipment fromother countries to meet the demand of the steel industry.In order to improve the steel packing technology, automatic packing level and accordwith international steel packing standard, we bend ourselves into the research of theautomatic steel strapping machine and come to the top.In chapter 1, Pressure and demand on the research of the automatic steel strappingmachine are discussed. On the base of understanding the actuality and developingtrend of the automatic packing machine in home and abroad, we put forward to ourresearch object and direction.In chapter 2, General design project, including the working principle and technicsflow of the strapping machine, design parameter, general mechanical structure,pneumatic system and control system, is put forward and discussed.In chapter 3, Put emphasis on designing and analyzing the key component ——strapping head which is designed to strap various products with steel strap. The strapis locked together with a metal seal which becomes notched.In chapter 4, Pneumatic system is designed and the stability analyzing and velocityregulation of the heavy load pneumatic cylinder is presented.In chapter 5, Control software of automatic steel strapping machine system isdesigned by making use of SIEMENS S7-300 PLC. PLC software design theory andmethod is presented.In chapter6, R&D of the automatic steel strapping machine system is summarizedand prospect of improving automatic strapping machine in future is presented.
